neXpo 2013 - Coming in September - more info to be updated soon.

We invite all interested schools in NEAL to join us for neXpo in Term 3.

neXpo is essentially an ICT (thru project learning)and technology sharing and presentation.  The goal is for a lead teacher and a small group of students to share and demonstrate their ICT-enriched or elearning project that they have been working on at their school.  This is not a focus on tools, but an exploration of how the project and learning has benefited from the use of tools that  have engaged, enriched and extended learning in our young people.

 This might include: video & music creation/editing, game making, web 2.0, animation, robotics etc.  The sky (or cloud?) is the limit!  Please have a look at the SST (Showcase, Share, and Teach) criteria below.

THE FIRST neXpo will be for our PRIMARY and INTERMEDIATE  schools on:

Friday, September 7th 9am-11:30 am

1) SHOWCASE - present your ICT project via a medium that will engage your audience.  NEAL can assist in providing supporting technologies to enable this.

2) SHARE the experience.

What did you do? WHY?  

What were the learning outcomes?  How did using technology change your learning experience?

What were some things you learned as you went through the process?

3) TEACH - students and lead teachers will then have option to set up and run mini-workshops on their chosen ICT project.

This will in turn set up new opportunities for collaboration so the next neXpo will grow from individual schools sharing with schools, to groups of students from several schools.

 9:30 am start - 11:30 am.
