Sharing of Resources
I found that session particularly stimulating and interesting! Thank you. Lots to think about. Wouldn't it be great if every teacher in the country shared all their resources with each other all the time. Would surely benefit teaching and learning. I can obviously see a few issues around this, and it will take a major mind shift! I take the point made that the resources made by teachers belong not only to the school but in the bigger picture to the tax payer.
It won't be easy I feel to get around teachers feeling protective about their work and reluctant to share it, sad but a fact of life. I feel too that teachers will feel that their resources will be open to criticsm.
A thought to consider also would be a "trade me" style of rating resources. This might be useful.
Are the Ministry contemplating setting up a model for this? I am very interested.
